The Risen King and the Present Kingdom

What if Easter is far more than a moment to remember?

You know the story. Jesus died for your sins. He rose again. You are forgiven. You have the hope of heaven. That truth still stands at the centre of your faith.

But what if the resurrection was not only about rescue? What if it was about rule?

When Jesus walked out of the tomb, He did not step back into private life. He stepped into authority. Romans 1:4 says He was declared to be the Son of God in power by His resurrection from the dead. After rising, He looked at His disciples and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me” (Matthew 28:18).

All authority.

That is the language of a King.

This month’s featured article, “The Risen King and the Present Kingdom", invites you to see Easter through that lens. The empty tomb was not only proof that death lost. It was the announcement that Jesus reigns.

You are not following a memory. You are living under a reigning King.

Acts 1:8 promises power when the Holy Spirit comes. Romans 8:11 declares that the Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you. The resurrection did not close a chapter. It launched a Kingdom movement that continues today through ordinary believers who trust the risen Lord.

That includes you.

The Kingdom of God is not a distant future idea. It is the active reign of Jesus wherever He is welcomed as Lord. Jesus said, “The Kingdom of God is in your midst” (Luke 17:21). His rule breaks into homes, workplaces, churches, and streets. It confronts darkness. It heals. It restores. It sends.

Think about your own life. Where do you need the authority of the risen King right now? In your family? In your thought life? In a situation that feels stuck? The resurrection speaks into those places. John 16:33 reminds you that Jesus has overcome the world. You face your week under His victory.

The article in the link below explores what it means to live from that reality. Not striving. Not pretending life is easy. Living with courage because your King has already defeated the final enemy.

It asks honest questions.

What would change if you prayed as someone standing on resurrection ground?
What would shift in your conversations if you believed Jesus is present and active?
How would you approach sickness, fear, or opposition if you truly believed all authority belongs to Him?

This is not about hype. It is about alignment.

The early disciples did not preach a theory. They proclaimed a risen Lord. They healed the sick. They cast out demons. They carried hope into hostile cities. They believed the King was alive, and their lives reflected it.

The same Spirit fills you today.

“The Risen King and the Present Kingdom” will help you move from celebrating Easter once a year to living in resurrection power every day. It will challenge you to let Jesus reign in practical ways. It will stir your faith to expect His Kingdom to break in around you.

You were not saved to wait passively for heaven. You were brought into a Kingdom that is advancing now. Colossians 1:13 says you have been transferred into the Kingdom of the Son. That transfer changes how you think, speak, and act.

The question is simple.

Will you live as if your king were alive?

If you feel a hunger for more than routine faith, this article is for you. If you long to see the power and presence of God shape your daily life, this is your invitation. If you want Easter to reshape your Mondays, not just your Sundays, take the next step.
